42 years ago today, my life changed forever. Just before my senior year football season, I fell asleep driving at the wheel, the car ended up in a ditch, and because of that car accident, I missed a crucial part of my season. Football was my way out, my way up. I'd spent years working for this. I saw the moment I bought my mother a house. I envisioned myself as the local hometown hero turned pro. Suddenly, all of it was slipping away. I thought my life was over because football was my life and Jesus was just a game. But I realized I had it inverted, that actually, Jesus was my life, and football was just a game. I ended up earning a small football scholarship at Presbyterian College. I was at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting when I realized my love for Christ. As a kid raised in poverty, in a single-parent household, I always wanted a father's acceptance. I always wanted to be defined by my family lineage. And what I found in my faith was I was adopted into the Family. If I wanted to know more about my Father, I could read His good book called the Bible, and I could discover all that He said about me. But more importantly, all that He said about himself and all that He is. I thought that car accident took away the thing that most defined me, the thing I most loved. But instead, it opened my eyes to what is truly important, a deeper connection with our Heavenly Father.

What greater threat to democracy than a party... ...who covers up the president's health & lies for power. …whose rhetoric incites an assassination attempt. …who weaponizes the legal system to lock up political opponents. The left will stop at nothing when they're losing.

It’s amazing to think Joe Biden’s fate is in the hands of Bill Clinton’s former Communications Director, George Stephanopulos. In 1992, George helped save Clinton from a “bimbo eruption.” What will he do now for Biden? Will he go for the kill and knock Biden out or save him? Here’s a guide : 1. When Biden loses his train of thought, will George sit silently and let Biden flail, or will he step in to save Biden by asking another question or by prodding Biden for an answer? 2. Will he ask questions designed to test Biden’s memory? “When were you VP?” “What was the last country you visited? “What’s the name of your Defense Secretary?” Biden has stumbled on those three questions previously. 3. Will he demonstrate Biden’s ridiculous “jet lag” excuse made no sense? Will he ask if a trip abroad exhausts the President 9 days later, how are you fit for office? 4. Or will he put the anti-Trump ball on a tee and ask easy questions so Biden can survive? I doubt George will go for the kill. He’s too much of a party man to do that. He likely doesn’t want Kamala to replace Biden, which is why Biden’s people chose George for the interview. George is not Tim Russert. Biden very well may stumble even in a friendly interview. But Biden picked a friendly questioner so he can survive. I can’t wait to watch.
