Story: Louisiana drivers pay largest percentage of their incomes on auto insurance in America. Senate Insurance Chair Kirk Talbot believes lawmakers can help: 'We're swinging for the fences on auto insurance' #lagov #lalege shreveporttimes.com/story/news/202… via @shreveporttimes
Why are we comparing with other states in regards to cost? To do this properly, we need to lay out the protections that we have along with the cost & find other states that have the exact same thing. This is the only truthful way to accurately compare & contrast. I'm speaking about the consumer market & not the commercial market.
@GregHilburn1 @shreveporttimes I thought tort reform in Louisiana was supposed to lower rates a few years back
@GregHilburn1 @shreveporttimes & WE ARE the toilet for America’s Industrial Waste being buried here…or should I say burial ground? The buck stops here —for sure
@GregHilburn1 @shreveporttimes @PookeyMalibu add it to the spreadsheet
@GregHilburn1 @shreveporttimes nobody should trust conservatives to fix insurance issues. their solution will be to lower regulations for minimum coverages required to be legal…so we’ll all have shittier insurance, it will just look like it’s cheaper. think shrinkflation, but for car insurance.
@GregHilburn1 @shreveporttimes The last time they put out the Louisiana Fact Book (quit shortly after Katrina) it stated that we pay an extra $475 a year (if memory serves) in car repairs due to substandard roads in LA. It would be at least double that now. Wonder if that is a factor as well.
