Now that @fcpsnews is union based, instruction excludes providing timely and specific data on graded formative and summative work to the students to improve and learn. It's just log the scores into SIS and be done.

Hey @fcpsnews, SIS grade book is not up as the website states. My child has been assigned many tasks, a good thing. But if you want parents to partner with Schools, provide the resources you claim and get the 'tab' in ParentVue ASAP. @FFXParentsAssoc @DeAngelisCorey

Hey @fcpsnews, if you make 100% of students go thru weapons detection machines but allow teachers to sneak into a school with non detection machine entrances that defeats safety. Adults must be held to the same safety standards. @FFXParentsAssoc @usedgov @NickMinock

Hey, @fcpsnews, 1 outdoor bathroom for the start of RSS Fall Sports Season doesn’t cut it. Maybe use the "bodyguard funds" for students. Get them clean. It shouldn't be that difficult. @DeAngelisCorey

Maybe @fcpsnews should update their website. Inform parents and students that the Varsity Tutors offering is currently unavailable. It might have been nice to allow students a chance to brush up before the start of school.

FCPS Gatehouse is dumping a "ton of school work." SOLs, individual projects, group projects, exams, regular essays, reflections, etc...all due by June 2 or 3. Is this backlash because a gov't agency didn't get all the money and take out on children?

Was this mentioned in the mtg? @fcpsnews uses Fairfax One. As such, ES will have 3 less snow days than MS & HS students. Can't have differing required hrs of instruction under their guiding FFX 1 principle. @mateodunne_sb @FFXParentsAssoc

A meal tax hurts working people. FCPS comments such as "Hey, it's only a couple bucks" send the wrong message when people struggle to meet daily needs. Long list of cuts to "freak out" folks. Nicely done!

Tomorrow is G8 IRW, Gatehouse told students to ask teachers how to prepare last week. That's FCPS, +$3.5B gov't entity's job to do. Today, G8 gets the IRW lesson with no feedback. Excellent preparation & use of taxpayer $. @DeAngelisCorey @FFXParentsAssoc

Can't find FCPS 2 Pensions & More disclosure when there was talk / justification of 7%. Seems like there's a lack of transparency as to the fully loaded compensation and benefits as compared to other schools.

FCPS must be worried about academic excellence. After a full school day of exams, assignments & in school Ed Apps, child's MS requires students to master 10 IXL components each day. That's on top of given homework for the day. Cramming to get a budget approved is not excellence

Hey @FFXParentsAssoc FCPS pulls the Friday night budget $ request email. A 7% salary increase for all staff (including Gatehouse). No info on compensation just salary. Compensation is pension, car travel allowance, healthcare, sick time, vacation. Disclose and be transparent.
