@DanBall00 During the mid 1990’s the max. Speed limit in Victoria was raised to 110 kph. At the end of 1 year the road toll had increased, the speed limit was lowered back to 100 kph and the road toll decreased. 110 kph remains on selected country freeways.

@_cocles @DanBall00 Unfortunately the speed is relevant in the ‘a’ part of that equation. When the vehicle rapidly decelerates from a high velocity (d/t = speed) the deceleration is velocity divided by time which becomes a negative acceleration, therefore high speed is deadly in an accident.
