Humans can be quite adaptable, the brain is trained that way. one thing however they have been unable to adapt easily to, is a negative event or moment from a source that has once given them pleasure - u see this in most relationships- spouses, girl-boy friends, friends. fixing this inability to adapt to bad moments quickly is the key to better relationships and will reduce long term resentment- my thinking is that if something gives u joy it shld sometimes make u unhappy,and we shld be more accommodating even forgiving. if a spouse makes us happy most of the time, why does the negative feeling from a quarrel become so overwhelming that it beclouds every other good moment. humans aren’t linear so feelings shld transcend the moment.

Jus a tot: harry Kane going from great goal scorer with no trophies for such a long time and now ballon dor winner is probably a case for changing your employer when you are not winning. A moving man soon meets his luck.

PRESS STATEMENT APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL UNPAID STAFF SALARIES: NIGERIANS SHOULD REJECT ABUBAKAR AND ADC CANDIDATES It has come to our attention that the National Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress, led by Senator David Mark as Chairman and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as Secretary, has refused and neglected to pay party staff for over a year. We find it unconscionable that a political party that has made many grandiose promises to hoodwink Nigerians owes its workers for more than 12 months. Owing staff who come to work every day and who rely on the salaries for their daily sustenance is wicked and reprehensible. With this development, Nigerians can now see the emptiness and insincerity of those parading themselves as 'new saviours'. We have clearly stated that ADC leaders and their presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, do not mean well and can do nothing for our country. Their desperation for power is driven by personal aggrandisement and venomous ill will against President Bola Tinubu. A party that cannot pay its cleaners and workforce cannot be entrusted with our country's affairs. Atiku Abubakar, the ADC's leader and Presidential candidate, has a reputation for owing his employees. While he regularly junkets to the UAE, staff at his Gotel Communication and other businesses also went months without pay and staged protests over unpaid salaries and other benefits. The record of the ADC General Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, on paying workers' salaries and pensioners in Osun State, where he was a governor for 8 years, was abysmal. As governor, he mismanaged the state's finances to the point that he could not pay workers. His government thus introduced quarter-salary and, at times, half-salary payments. As for pensioners, he abandoned them for more than four years. Many died because they could not afford the basics of life. We are therefore not surprised that ADC, harbouring birds of the same feather, cannot pay its workers' salaries. We are sounding a warning to Nigerians and working people now: reject ADC. Reject Atiku Abubakar and reject all ADC candidates in the next general elections. They do not have the interest of our country and our people at heart. A party that aspires to govern Nigeria and which cannot be trusted with something as basic as the management of its own affairs and the welfare of its workforce should be rejected by Nigerians. In 2020 while heading a payments company I had over 20 software engineers involved in various builds for the company. I would describe that period as peak for software engineers. They would be running 3-4 gigs for 3 different companies at the same time. These company’s would know but they couldn’t flinch. infact one of our engineers who was a full time employee had the names of the other entities he served up on his LinkedIn profile. Keeping your team motivated and not losing them to competion in the middle of a deployment was a balancing act few succeeded at. I kept stressing to the largely young software community we had ….. nothing lasts forever, keep and sustain your relationships - one day this insane demand for your skills might not be as strong.its happening. software engineers who will survive & excel wil be ones who have built strong network relationships and more fundamentally who have learnt to code with AI.

Sad news today. After 5 years of medical training, one of my mates has been struck off due to a minor discretion. He slept with one of his patients and can no longer do the job he loves. What a waste of time and money. Genuinely a great guy and a brilliant vet
