Just when I think I have fully grasped the potential variants of #JasperFforde's imagination, something like speed-librarying and #RabbitAndRabbitability comes up. \o/ #goodreads
Oh, no no no no no! Oh, this is just tragic. I know she held on as long as she could, but I so hoped she might make it until after January. #heartbreak #RuthBaderGinsberg #RBG
@dee_zigns I Googled 'Adult ADHD' when an office re-org reduced our 8x8 cubicles to 6x8. The higher density really upped the noise/distractions, and my productivity suffered. Our son self-diagnosed his Freshman year of college. We just thought he was super-smart and energetic. :(
Only realized 4 years ago that I have some degree of ADHD (my office's drive toward an open, densely-populated engineering lab pushed me over the edge). Just the phrase 'time blindness' was, "Fuuu*k, it has a NAME?" /o\ #adhd #adhdwomen
Are you losing hours by giving yourself just "five more minutes"? Are you constantly amazed by your ability to run late? Do you feel like your sense of time is constantly off? Sometimes called time blindness, ADHD people can perceive time differently.
Now this is an idea!

@gekizetsu @qikipedia How rude, though! If this were about dogs, it would be all "Blahdy-blahdy-emotional-support-animal-blan." It's the same situation, so use the same labels! #CatsAreLove
@gekizetsu You do and you can, but not necessarily today. Give yourself a little time to grieve over the news first. My brother has been doing this since age 10, though, and he's 63 now. That's the kind of gumption _you_ have. I've seen it. <3
@GeorgeTakei @BarackObama @JoeBiden ALL of them! \o/ 💝
My story for this week can be found here along with 14 others. Please read and vote, if you can. Free entertainment for all. \o/ #writing #ljidol
Vote - Week 25 therealljidol.livejournal.com/1144899.html
@dee_zigns It's sad when the best you've got is, "At least it isn't Phoenix" or "At least it isn't Red Bluff." How are you and B? :D
Another week of scorch begins. Temps in the upper 90s to over 100 for the next 9-10 days. Why do I live here? #possiblyHellOnEarth #phoenixIsWorse
@StephenKing Except for women who are MORE likely to date men who like cats. ;) I don't know why anti-cat bias is still so prevalent in the U.S. (and yes, it's an American thing). Cats love their people, and they may be unsure about others. Just like *gasp* -- oh no! -- people!
Spiders in the bathroom, freaks they be. The door is locked so their death's on me... \o? #again #thirdTimeInAWeek #whyyyy
@gekizetsu God, the first one. If it were so easy to lose weight, no one would ever be heavy. But all three of these... I feel tired just reading them, and he's not my dad. :(
Someone down the block from us is having a party at their house, with 15-18 cars parked nearby. Because apparently, the new lie from Trump supporters is, "Maybe COVID isn't really a thing..." #smh
@MrAdamRex I vividly remember our son, at age 3, labeling "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" as the 'Not-a-very-good-singer song.' Yes, the one with Art Garfunkel. He came around in later years, thank goodness. :O
If you like humorous fiction, why not checkout my LJ Idol story for this week? This was an intersection week, and I got a terrific partner in hangedkay. See for yourself! halfshellvenus.livejournal.com/778452.html
@gekizetsu Right? Every single time, I look at those toothpick cantilever supports on his house here in this earthquake state, and shudder. :O
