@tobyg2026 Provided she doesn’t claim expenses and pays her own way with her own wages then nobody cares. However, all MPs are a disgrace for claiming expenses while their constituents often struggle to make ends meet.

@RachelReevesMP how much is being spent on MP’s expenses, the public would love to know how much you are all saving while we all pay your food, heating, travel, clothing and mortgages. You’d stand better footing if MPs had to pay their own way instead of spending our wages.

@RachelReevesMP @RachelReevesMP what if the cuts came to something that means MPs have less money. We use our wages to pay our way, it’s about time MP expenses were cut completely. Pay your own way

@David__Osland How are private schools better? - less pupils per class, less behaviour issues, less send needs, more staffing ? Is this not what we want in mainstream education but the government keep reducing funding for. We all want the same support and education for our kids

@MissAHadley I am a barmaid as well as teaching, which sometimes means I work 7 days a week, but needs must.

@AngelaRayner And yet working class Brits are struggling to get on the housing ladder because they cannot afford it. Poverty is not growing for those on benefits, it’s the working class who need help

@Keir_Starmer Why don’t MPs lead the way and stop claiming expenses, using their own wages to pay their way instead of asking the country to pay for their homes, fuel, food and other expenses?

@Keir_Starmer how about all MPs use their own wages to pay their way just like the working people of this country, surely this will help plug the gaps. Working class folk pay to commute, fuel their homes, pay their mortgages or rent and feed themselves with their hard earned wage

@MissRCarr9 The day I arrived to set up my very first classroom, there was a pyramid of tables and chairs with every cupboard and drawer overflowing. Head walked me to the door, opened it and turned and walked away. It makes a very lonely start to the career. Good luck in your new post💫

@tombennett71 Once interviewed in a school that was open plan, after teaching my lesson I was asked if I still wanted to continue the interview process, I said no. It was awful, so noisy, so many distractions. I couldn’t work in that environment

@tombennett71 Or just have a pot of spares at the front so that the lesson can continue 🤷‍♀️. Maybe the parents haven’t bought any? The child struggles with organisation? Has low self-esteem and doesn’t seem their work worthy? Don’t chastise them, you’re there to help.

@Strickomaster I holiday for 3-4 weeks and spend 2 in school prepping. I do not holiday at any other time of year. I cannot understand people who do not do the job, should be allowed any say at all. I’m not a banker or accountant and therefore I do not comment on other folk’s finances.
