@Lunayian Meta Quest is in their "we don't care as long as it grows our market share" phase. It will not last, and when it's over...

@JeffHorwitz @ysoha I was browsing new arrivals at Barnes and noble and checking goodreads. Couldn't help but laugh when I saw it. Then I couldn't help but grab a copy. A+ for some creative marketing. Excited to get into it.

@Thrilluwu Taking money for preorders with 2024 as a listed ship date when no reviewer has had hands on. Racing towards an IPO after already having done crowd funded investment. Plus a failed crypto project in the closet. Expect broken promises at best, Vaporware at worst.

@benz145 This was a half baked user experience more than 12 years ago and the extra time in the oven hasn't changed as much as you'd hope. youtube.com/watch?v=Tq22KB…

@mrmetaverse Agreed. Almost makes it feel like Twitter isn't a complete shithole. Almost.

The word internet has some very satisfying and deep roots. It's just right. The word #metaverse isn't nearly as elegant. Time to put it out to pasture. If we look far enough into the future it's all just the internet.

@nathie Yep. We need more creative games that show off what's different about VR. Not more "X but in VR" content.

@mackmack @SadlyItsBradley Nah, the Brad avatars were just hilarious. They have fucking flippers for hands. Plus it helped a lot with people's frames. Not everything is a sinister plot.

@josethevrtech @SadlyItsBradley @stsungjp I have one of those top straps that loops around the sides with velcro. Originally for the OG Quest, but I found it takes the comfort of the Pro from great to fantastic. Better weight distribution will always help comfort. Though for $1500 we deserve perfection out of the box.

@bmfshow It's too bad developers didn't have more time with the Pro before spooky season. We're gonna see some terrifyingly creative games using all those extra sensors.
