OTD in 1945 Soviet soldiers opened the gates of Auschwitz Concentration Camp complex. Following prisoner evacuation & death marches westwards, Soviet troops liberated c.7000 & discovered the corpses of c.600 prisoners in the main camps. Learn more: auschwitz.org/en/history/lib…
