@guardian_sport @m_christenson And the boring side of the story, albeit 15 years ago…

@MelissaCole Grammatical disasters, misplaced machismo and alien hops aside, how fucking insulting is it to imply that this is FINALLY something for brewing to be proud of?

@T_Hickford @dmonbeer @MelissaCole My guilty “lad group” joke is to ask “can you get wood” when tasting barrelled aged beers. It makes me feel dirty and I’m never proud of myself after using it.

@T_Hickford Beautiful beer. Guldenberg is also one to look out for from De Ranke.

Fair play to @ChefTomKerridge for his robust performance on #bbcqt tonight. A great champion for the Hospitality Industry. 👏👏

@vincentfranklin Can’t stand the pointy little twat. They nicked the idea from an episode of “Bottom” anyway.

@RogerProtzBeer I thought that the programme was very good. No punches (no pun, sorry) were pulled. Good to see issues around beer pricing being aired.

@RogerProtzBeer Never mind who is presenting and his credentials, this is going out on prime time telly. Got to be a good thing that the plight of our pubs and the reasons behind it is being brought to the attention of the GBP.

@noteatenbylions @CandiceBrown Again... Personal observations tell the opposite side of the story. You can’t tar the whole industry with a few reports of obvious transgressions.

@noteatenbylions @CandiceBrown Can only speak as I have found it personally. I believe, through my own observation and from first hand accounts of contacts in hospitality and event organisation, that the majority of venues have been rigorously applying the guidelines.

@noteatenbylions @CandiceBrown I’ve been in 10 or so pubs and restaurants since the start of July and every single one was exemplary in their execution of the guidelines. With social distancing measures in place, most venues are way down on their usual capacity, so I can’t agree with the accusation of greed.
