I've said for weeks and really months that it would be silly to move on from Mike McCarthy if the Cowboys failed to reach the title game. I also always added that context matters. I maintain that he has done incredible things that the franchise hadn't seen/experienced in 30 years and that there is significant value in that. I still lean towards keeping him. But I will fully admit that getting beat this badly by such an inexperienced team at home with all of the million details we can add is a very bad look and certainly opens the door for conversation.
@rjochoa It doesn't matter who is coaching Dallas, it will never be the right coach as long as Jerry is alive. He will never pick a candidate that has the slightest possibility of outshining him. Jerry is the problem....always has been.
@HowSublime_ @rjochoa Stephen is just as bad, if not worse. Nothing is gonna change.
@HowSublime_ @rjochoa Well it worked before with Jimmy and switzer and he has continued to put good teams on the field despite picking in late 20s
@HowSublime_ @rjochoa Disagree. Jimmy overcame it so did Parcells. So can BB.
@HowSublime_ @rjochoa The old tired excuse of Jerry not doing his job is laughable.. you're blaming the wrong guy
@HowSublime_ @rjochoa How does bringing in McCarthy after winning a superbowl not threaten the ‘shine’ of jerry? A few weeks ago this nation was backing this man and in a matter of 4 hours it’s gone. We need new coaches but blaming Jerry is foolish #DallasCowboys
@HowSublime_ @rjochoa Agree...he is definitely the common denominator through all of it. #teamiscursed
