Remember when shows lasted long enough for staff to move up the ladder? Remember when shows would go on hiatus and u could actually enjoy ur break because u knew it'd be coming back for another season? Remember the dream of being on a show that went 100 episodes and cashing out?

Remember when writers could actually buy houses in LA? Remember when a show was in the can, and you had an airdate, and the show actually aired on that date without getting pulled and tossed into the 🗑️? Remember legit ratings we could all understand and use as a solid metric?

I finally did the trick where I made a filter in gmail so that anything with the word "unsubscribe" in the body of the email bypasses the inbox and gets archived immediately, and I haven't gotten a single piece of spam in 4 hours and I feel like a new woman.

@VerizonSupport The router just flashes with the red light. I've tried power cycling it for several different time durations to no success. Both the wifi and the hardline signal are non existent

This is what being “canceled” actually is. It’s the government taking your rights away & imprisoning you because you are seen as a threat. I am proud to share a profession with a person like this & hope this very brave comedian will get to safely return home.

Zeynab Mousavi is Iran’s first female standup comedian. She hails from Qom - the most conservative city in the country. She has also been a target of death threats, had to stand in court over some of her jokes, and has been barred from appearing on TV. Yesterday, she was arrested

@emilytolan a depressed edition of what it was probably like those 12 hours after the Cubs won the World Series

@depthsofwiki Reminds of how quickly Channel 4 had this 22 minute video out and ready in less than an hour after her death. Not judging, it's just one of those moments you realize how the sausage is made behind the scenes.

Better yet this is the second I've placed the exact same order. The first one was also lost because they delivered to some apartment door that was not mine. Which they shouldn't have! The delivery instructions PRINTED on the label says take them to the mail room.

Nothing like @amazon b"delivery" person to fail to actually deliver the package to the correct place. There are clear instructions about where the package/mail room is and they just left it outside of the front gate not even in a secure or locked location. Gotta love it

Chicago's official temperature at O'hare has just reached 95° within the past few minutes, which ties the record high for the day originally set back in 1994. With several hours of heating left this afternoon the temperature may rise further breaking Chicago's record for the day.
