For those who became unemployed during the pandemic, the ACA is crucial. That’s why we support the insurance subsidies proposed in the COVID-19 relief package, which will subsidize ACA coverage for those on unemployment. Losing your job shouldn’t mean losing your healthcare.

The proposed COVID-19 relief bill includes huge expansions to #ACA subsidies, lowering the price of premiums for low- and middle-income people. By capping premiums at 8.5% of income for those who qualify, the proposal puts health care back in reach for struggling families.

Tomorrow the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on the #ACA case, CA vs. TX. This will determine if the individual mandate can be separated from the law. If not, the whole ACA could be ruled unconstitutional and struck down. Stay tuned!

For #ChronicIllness folks, a world without the ACA means you could lose coverage once you hit a annual/lifetime cap. Imagine one lifesaving surgery or treatment and hitting your limit? This will drive more families into poverty. #ProtectOurCare
