@khaleejtimes If anything, my Muslim friends were almost insulted that seeing a non-Muslim eat or drink would somehow be enough to make them break their fast, as if their resolve & faith wasn’t strong enough? If the rules & expectation are clear, I think most people would follow & respect them

@khaleejtimes I lived in Dubai for 14 years and saw massive change in that time during Ramadan. As a non-Muslim, being able to drink water during the day during Ramadan was huge. I always asked Muslim friends if I could eat or drink around them, out of respect, and not one of them ever minded?

@anon_ambassador @naomicfisher @educationgovuk You’re funny. Clearly trying to get a rise of people (whatever floats your boat!) and you are, like everyone, entitled to your opinion, however popular or unpopular. We will simply have to agree to disagree. Good luck to you 👍🏻

@anon_ambassador @EmilyRule6 @naomicfisher @educationgovuk I must’ve been very lucky then with the majority of teachers I have had the privilege of working with. Not all leaders, sadly (WHOLE different conversation about THAT!) but teachers on the ground, dealing with more than they should, I have come across so many! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@anon_ambassador @naomicfisher @educationgovuk Rather a blanket statement there, like saying ALL parents of these children aren’t trying hard enough? A negative teacher experience doesn’t justify an unfair statement like this for the whole teaching profession. And they wonder why teachers are leaving the profession in droves?

@mr_baish I read this with my son when he recently lost his Grandma (who he was super close to and utterly devastated when she passed). We changed Mummy to Grandma. It helped him process his big feelings (I also sobbed as I read it!). So sorry for your loss 💔 Sending love x

@missgeog92 What a shame. They are a lovely, a really thoughtful gift and a thank you costs nothing. I am an absolute stickler for manners with my kids, I would die if they hadn’t said thank you for any gift, let alone one as lovely as this. Try not to let it bring you down too much ❤️

@KyrstieStubbs Trying neutral next year… all the “stuff” to make it happen has cost me a bloody fortune! 🙄😂 School only has the bright stuff so if I want it, I have to buy it. Lots of beautiful hessian, ribbon etc, all eco-friendly, all expensive! I better LOVE it! 😜

@ScottPughsley I can’t help but think what the conversation would be if the tables were turned and it was MEN’S bodies we were talking about? Could you imagine? Women don’t have the right to make decisions about their own bodies? Is that SERIOUSLY what he is saying? I am absolutely dumbfounded!

@ACoddiwomple @FakeHeadteacher I suggested tags to my school as it seems crazy to stick paper on paper - was told it was easier to use books 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Wasn’t really even entertained as an option 😕

@NewbieSlt I had a pupil put into Music cause there was nothing else for him to do… despite the fact he couldn’t sing in tune or play an instrument! 🤦🏻‍♀️ He was originally put in PE but kept “forgetting his kit” so the next logical thought was MUSIC, with literally no musical ability? 🙄
