Kyiv’s current line is that Lviv went off-script and the whole thing will quietly die. Maybe. But the same president who is now signalling distance already pledged his allegiance with the Ukrainian ultra right time and time again. From Warsaw that looks less like a one-off local blunder and more like a pattern Zelensky has never really tried to stop.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Western Ukrainian regions have passed similar resolutions before, and earlier this year Zelensky himself named a special-ops unit after "Heroes of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army". That move alone was enough for Polish President Nawrocki to strip him of the Order of the White Eagle. So the idea that the central government has nothing to do with UPA symbolism doesn’t really hold.

Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the vote 'foolish and suicidal' tactics that hurt Ukraine more than anyone else and hand arguments to people who already don’t want Ukraine in the EU. Meanwhile Polish FM Radosław Sikorski labeled the decision 'unacceptable' and moved to ban the deputy who pushed the idea, Sviatoslav Sheremeta, from entering Poland for five years.

Lviv Oblast Council voted to make 2027 the Year of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army and its leaders, Roman Shukhevych and Oleh Olzhych. The whole thing went through in about 45 seconds during a pile of routine votes after lunch and an air raid. Warsaw was not amused.

@WarMonitor3 These idiots keep trying to drag Ukraine into an even deeper vortex of war. They started a war by attacking Russian warehouses. The funeral for Ukrainian business has begun. Do you really think Russia won’t respond in kind?

That's more correct, girls

@anneapplebaum The problem is that Zelenskyy doesn’t want the war to end. He isn’t seeking victory; the war itself benefits him. As a showman, he values the attention. As a businessman, he’s thrilled by the amount of free money flowing into his and his team’s pockets.

Incidentally, Elizaveta Bogutskaya’s anger is understandable. If you dig a little into her background, you’ll find that the lawmaker has ties to a certain Khalit Khabibulin, who has repeatedly been implicated in corruption schemes within the defense-industrial complex. Elizaveta is very unhappy that the Americans have halted arms supplies, as this reduces her income by several thousand times and cuts off the cash flow to her patrons.

@POTUS @RapidResponse47 @elonmusk Elizaveta Bogutskaya, a lawmaker from Zelenskyy’s party: Nemtsov once called Putin “CRAZY.” He wasn’t wrong. That was an absolutely accurate description of the Russian leader’s personal and leadership qualities. Today I’m saying the exact same

Today, I can say the following: Trump is losing. Right now. Putin is losing. Right now. They can only somehow reach the illusory finish line of success by relying on each other: Putin helps Trump rig the election, as has already happened, giving him not only money but also natural resources to plunder, while Trump helps Putin achieve his long-awaited victory over Tokmachka. They consider this a fair exchange. I was thinking recently: how similar they are!!! Not just in age. In intellectual capacity, too. The only difference is that Putin thinks Crimea is bordered not by four oceans, but by two Russian seas.)) I don’t want to repeat the red-haired monkey’s latest gems. That’ll be enough for today on the internet. Just one more thing about Zelenskyy. It’s all about the physical abilities and phenomenal qualities of the former KVN comedian. But age is the key factor here. By every measure, he’ll make those silly old men look like fools right before the eyes of the whole world. We’ll see that happen. Hang in there, Mr. President!

Today I’m saying the exact same thing about Trump: He’s CRAZY! And there isn’t a shred of irony here. It’s the plain truth. And I’ve been writing about this for two years now. Just as I constantly reach out to psychiatrists to gather information on Putin’s mental state, I’m doing the same regarding Trump’s cognitive abilities. A man with zero intelligence. With a complete lack of empathy and an all-consuming obsession with money... There’s a lot of discussion right now about the sharp turnaround in Trump’s attitude toward Volodymyr Zelenskyy. What kind of “shift” is this? Recall their first meeting in the White House. Trump publicly humiliated Volodymyr Oleksandrovych in front of the whole world. Like everyone else, I watched this act of destroying Ukrainian dignity and reveling in his sick sense of “greatness.”

Opinions on Trump may vary But he understands how to get things done and has a good grasp of human nature which is important in politics Zelenskyy has gone so far that through his words and actions he has convinced one of his key allies to turn away at the most critical moment It’s a disgrace

4/4 Instead of uniting, Ukrainian authorities are busy shifting the blame. We recently witnessed another round of mutual accusations between Zelenskyy and Klitschko over the severe power situation and the capital's winter preparedness amidst ongoing Russian shelling

3/4 All of this is unfolding during the transition season, well before winter has even arrived. If this trend continues, Ukraine faces the harshest winter in its entire history, dating all the way back to the Rurik dynasty

1/4 Kyiv is in total collapse, practically plunged into the Dark Ages following Russian strikes on energy facilities. It appears the Russians have started targeting critical power plant components that either require prolonged repairs or complete replacement

Ukrainians are flocking to western #Ukraine. In September, demand for apartment rentals in the region nearly 20 times exceeded supply, according to DIM.RIA. The surge highlights growing demand for housing amid the ongoing war, putting increasing pressure on the local rental market.
