@AshPolitik Stop gaslighting people, if it’s entirely caused by Trump why is it Australia is so much worse off than the USA and the rest of the world? “Government Spending is a Factor” that’s the words of the RBA

@satoshigoy @OMGTheMess So in the June quarter, bulk billing is still lower than almost the entire 3 term LNP government.

@paul031260 @GusLefty They import huge amounts of electricity, roughly around 40Twh per year across the last 3 years. Through the mid-late 2010s it was half that amount. Across that period wholesale electricity prices have almost doubled.

@GusLefty They are also paying more for electricity and importing huge amounts of energy from France.

@peters_malcolm Unfortunately Albo and Chalmers are making the RBAs job harder and think they can gaslight the public into thinking it’s entirely overseas factors

@BenCarrollMP All these things you are promising, why haven’t you done it already? You’ve been in government for over a decade

@Rob_Ruadh2 @AlboMP Repeatedly lying to parliament should warrant forced expulsion and potentially bans from seeking reelection

@OMGTheMess All for something that doesn’t actually ‘generate’ electricity (noting it only stores excess electricity from renewables) Apparently nuclear is ‘too expensive’

@urbanizationist 1 - That’s not true 2 - There’s a big difference between wholesale price and retail price 3 - Most of that electricity is being generated by coal

@BenCarrollMP Why do you feel the need to lie and to try and scare people?

@NigelCl67075012 @aetherspecc @aaronsmith They didn’t win an election on the promise of lowering power prices by $275 be then delivering massive price increases before then trying to gaslight the country into thinking power is actually ‘cheap’

@stuartr1970 @aaronsmith Mainly infrastructure. That’s the largest contributor to retail power prices. Things like transmission lines, which we need lots of with wide spread renewables.

@BenCarrollMP Why wait untill an election? You’ve had more than a decade to do this.

@RobertoSatire @TKoutsantonisMP Not retail prices, which is what people actually pay. Clearly it’s getting a bit hard for the government to actually lower power prices so they’ve moved onto gaslighting us into thinking it’s somehow cheap.

@aetherspecc @aaronsmith I guess the left have realised they can’t actually reduce power prices so they’ll just try to gaslight the country into thinking power is actually cheap.
