After spending some time in a “facility” aka “psychiatric hospital” I have a new found respect for those admitted involuntarily.
I’m experiencing a bizarre sense of unease. It’s difficult to explain. I’m unsettled within my soul. Going to walk dog to release this agitated energy.
Since February I have been in a battle with depression. Severe melancholia ravages every inch of my body. It’s quite astounding that a mental illness can cause unbearable physical pain.
Anhedonia is the worst part of depression. Feels as if someone has sucked all the joy out of you.

I’ve noticed it’s been more than 2years since last tweet. I lost my mojo & still don’t know how to find it. I languish in some hellish depressive purgatory which is on constant replay.
Work conversation. “I think they prescribe antidepressants for migraine headaches. I would never have them they mess up your brains chemicals.” This is a bit rich coming from a HCW in mental health. Tell us what you really think about prescribed drugs.
A psychologist asked, “Why did you develop schizophrenia, while other kids don’t?” Both my parents sexually abused me at the same time; there was no perceivable way out. That brought on a sense of terror. So my mind strategically removed me from the situation.
