@chamath Agree with your thoughts here. Better guardrails for people = better. That said, the article (and sounds like the study) did not do a good job of sussing out what came first: the mental illness or the cannabis…which makes it difficult to draw any conclusions.

@nntaleb In the US, the herd was culled quite a bit over the past year due to elevated feed costs. It takes about 3-4 years to grow before bringing to slaughter, so domestic beef prices are likely to remain elevated vs. other proteins. Offset could be soft retail demand, but don’t know…

@Post_Market @breakfastbybill I think u nailed it - likely have a database of 40mm emails since collection started in early 2000s, but active members (starbucks uses 90-day active) is the important piece...otherwise useless metric. Fwiw - starbucks us 90-day active in C3q was 19.6mm members.

@krugermacro In 9 months or so, baby supplies. Second & third borns aren’t being made now, so it’ll be a whole new host of buyers coming to market for baby gear.
