69% of voters got it right, nice. Here’s the explanation for the other 31%: Let’s say your account starts at $4000, a 25% rise is $1000 which brings you to $5000. The following day it falls 20%, so 20% of $5000 is $1000, so that brings you back to your starting value of $4000.
