@BoundaryBreak Having a variety of different styles like mario odyssey would be nice.
@graysonZ80 What exactly caused the performance issues on switch and how did you fix them? I use gamemaker so I'm a bit curious.
@tilesetterapp Not sure if it's a bug with gamemaker's importer, but after importing a tilemap from tilesetter into gm, it automatically checks 'disable source sprite export', which disables collisions with the tiles. I was very confused why my player was phasing through tiles.
@tilesetterapp Is there a way to re-arrange tiles in tilesetter image export so they automatically line up with the autotiling in gamemaker, so you just have to click one tile, then the next, then the next etc.? I know I can export as gamemaker, but it seems quicker.
@RetroGameCorps Hi, what would be the overall best choice for a 4.5 - 5inch handheld (horizontal) for ~$60? So far I'm thinking about the trimui smart pro, but are there any other good choices? I'm wanting to take advantage of the ali express sale.
@SebastianLague What's your opinion on the whole unity controversy that happened last year? Part of me wants to get back into the engine, but I'm a little wary. What do you think about its future?
@TafferKing451 Do you still think unity is a solid choice? Ever since the controversy last year, I've been reluctant to use it, but I prefer its C# support compared to Godot.
@PounceLight Do you think Rust is a good choice now that you've finished tiny glade? I've been hesitant to get into it, because I haven't seen many games using it, but after seeing what you've done, it has got me interested.
@reduzio 640 pages is a weekend read?! I must be an incredibly slow reader!
@C418 Did you play a real piano in 'dry hands'? I was under the impression that you programmed most stuff with midi, but dry hands actually sounds like a real piano being played.
Just found a bug that causes a stream of coins to spawn. It happens because enemies instantly respawn if the player is outside a certain range. (WARNING: LOUD) #indiedev #gamedev #GameMaker #metroidvania
Finished my game for 1-bit Jam #3 Cowboy Shapeshiftin'. It's a bit rough around the edges, but I'm happy with how it turned out. #indiedev #gamedev #GameMaker
Got some more stuff working in my 1-bit jam #3 metroidvania. Only 5 days to go. I need to make some bosses, and some extra abilities to make it a proper metroidvania! #indiedev #gamemaker #gamejam

@mossmouth I've been using godot for years, but all of the sore points of the engine have started building up a lot of frustration, and I want a break from the engine. Do you think gamemaker is still a good choice? Godot seems to have replaced it in most people's recommendations.
@AndrewCGower What tools (language, engine, libraries etc) are you using for the new game?
@mike_acton Hi, I've noticed you don't think OOP is a good idea, but you recommend the book Game Engine Architecture by Jason Gregory, which seems to be fairly heavily OOP and recommends you to use object-oriented design. Why is this?
@Figglewatts And by "simple code", I just mean the minimal thing that works, not something that is incredibly reusable and modular. It's easier to get something working and then clean it up after, rather than trying to design it perfectly when you don't even understand the problem.
@Figglewatts I used to think this was "unprofessional", and you had to plan everything in detail before implementing stuff. But recently I've noticed that there's a lot of good programmers out there that just write the simplest code that works, without abstractions, and then refine it later.
