Jared Behr @JaredBehr

The vandalism and arson at Young Israel of West Hempstead last night was a despicable act of antisemitism. Thank you to our amazing Nassau County Police Dept. for acting so quickly to prevent further destruction, and to @OlenaNicks for speaking out so strongly on behalf of the Jewish community in her District. Hate has no place in Nassau. That is why I support legislation to increase protections around synagogues and all houses of worship. I stand with the members of Young Israel of West Hempstead.

I am sick of this. I am sick of sharing Instagram stories about needing stronger gun sense laws. I am sick of holding my 5 year old and 8 year old a little tighter before putting them on the school bus. I am sick of our leaders doing nothing to protect our babies. So, instead of waiting for change, I am going to become an elected official and make the changes myself. I will work relentlessly as County Legislator to pass stronger gun sense laws that protect our kids, our local law enforcement, our teachers, and our communities. I ask that you join me in this fight.

Congress doesn’t need any more Trump “lackeys.” Our new ad is on TV. We have an affordability crisis and my opponent will not fight to lower your costs. I have and will! Please share our ad.

On the 25th anniversary of September 11th, it is our duty to remember the innocent victims who were killed, the heroes who bravely gave up their lives and ran towards the chaos, and those we have lost in the years since due to exposure related illnesses. We will never forget.

Blakeman’s Islamophobic, racist, misogynistic post about @GovKathyHochul respectfully wearing a headscarf while visiting a mosque was a desperate dog whistle, intended to rile up his MAGA base in his failing governor campaign. @NassauExec should be ashamed and take it down.

You’re a small man exploiting a grieving family’s tragedy. Sheridan Gorman’s killer should serve the maximum sentence possible and then be swiftly deported. Nothing in our laws prevents violent criminals from being turned over to ICE, as we’ve done repeatedly under this administration. But local police shouldn’t be pulled away from protecting New Yorkers to enforce civil immigration for a rogue federal agency that has killed Americans with impunity and terrorized communities across this country.

As I said a few weeks ago over @GovKathyHochul’s support for this legislation, she is an asshole. Public safety is strongest when lying politicians like Kathy get the hell out of the way and let law enforcement do their job. Her bill prohibits local law enforcement from turning

The gun lobby fought tooth and nail against the toughest gun laws in the nation, but even the Supreme Court saw they had no merit. If you refuse to take basic steps to keep your guns from being used illegally, New York will make sure you pay.

Today marks the beginning of Pride Month, where we celebrate the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community, but also reflect on the long road that is still being walked to earn that equality. The lessons of the fight for these rights is clear: the fight for equality is all of ours.🏳️‍🌈

This evening, as we begin Yom HaShoah, we reflect on the tragedy of the Holocaust, and recommit to our vow of never again. Yom HaShoah marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, a powerful reminder that it is our duty to stand up for justice.

Blakeman’s private militia is filled with criminals and a former NYPD Officer who was disciplined for “abusing his authority” in a fatal shooting. Our tax dollars should not be spent on a private militia made up of these types of characters. newsday.com/long-island/po…

This is absolutely insane. Monstrous. It’s also infuriating that MAGA thinks our government is owed any kind of respect or support by anyone - Olympians, U.S. citizens, foreigners. The U.S. is currently right up there with the worst human rights abusers.

13 years since that unspeakable day in Sandy Hook. 13 years of growing a movement to make sure kids feel safe everywhere. 13 years of heroes living with pain and grief yet still speaking truth to power.

Bruce Blakeman is another MAGA cheerleader running to do Donald Trump’s bidding in New York — and raise your costs. Not on my watch.

Meet Bootlicker Blakeman, #1 fan of Trump’s expensive tariffs. 100% MAGA, 0% committed to fighting for New York.

ICE just conducted a raid by Taco Giro in Tucson - a small mom-and-pop restaurant that has served our community for years. When I presented myself as a Member of Congress asking for more information, I was pushed-aside and pepper sprayed.

If federal agents are brazen enough to fire pellets directly at a Member of Congress, imagine how they behave when encountering defenseless members of our community. It’s time for Congress to rein in this rogue agency NOW.

I am heartened by today’s victory and grateful for the prayers and support I have received from around the country. I remain fearless in the face of these baseless charges as I continue fighting for New Yorkers every single day. cnn.com/2025/11/24/pol…
