Driving an EV is now about 5 times cheaper per mile than driving a gasoline car.

@MzCBoch @EvelynYang @AndrewYang If I get made fun of for my slanty eyes, I just open my eyes with my fingers and say I’m white. 😂 I refuse to play the victim. If ppl say “where are you from?” I ask them the same question. It gets ppl thinking.

@Anytime4Al @aapialliance @AndrewYang @NYDailyNews I’m trying to say the artist intention was not about race. If it were, he would be yellow with a rice hat. It’s about the issue AY likes Timesquare, A touristy place where he so happens to live.

@yisanghoon0401 @EvelynYang @AndrewYang Being a tourist is not uniquely Asian though? If we play the race card, It shifts focus on the core issue that AY is not a tourist. Down the line could even broaden the Asian stereotype as a tourist because we made it a thing.

@encladd @EvelynYang @AndrewYang There’s nothing wrong with having slanty eyes. Should we all look white? He’s depicted here similar to his campaign cartoon. The artist did a good job representing an Asian person without the stereotypes. Yellow, rice hat etc. look what is NOT included is as important as what is.

@mjbricka @kferrDC @EvelynYang @Lis_Smith I agree with you. But as a NewYorker myself, Times Square is the most touristy place in the city. Saying you like Time Square is a touristy thing to say. Not Asian. Lol. End of the day. It’s a cartoon poking fun at that statement alone, not him being Asian.

@marchandsteve @AndrewYang Being a tourist is not inherently racist. The statment the cartoon is making is inaccurate, but not racist. We should make efforts to thinking harder and not jump to conclusions.

@Tortugaman_ @x__doncorleone @EvelynYang @Lis_Smith What’s wrong with looking Asian?! The left image shows a plethora of Asian stereotypes while I feel the right one accurate depicts a modern Asian person respectfully. There’s nothing inherently wrong with being a tourist. An inaccurate portrayal of Andrew sure, but not racist.

@kferrDC @EvelynYang @Lis_Smith I’m Asian, and a designer. I don’t think the cartoon, by itself, with Andrew is racist. There are no Asian stereotypes as overtly as the first one. The person could have been any color and the message as a tourist still stands. Being a tourist is not specific to race.
