Turns out, seniors spend almost THREE WEEKS a year outside of their home to get healthcare. Think about how burdensome that is for them?! Moreso, 11% of all seniors spend 50 days or more...crazy. When we think about aging in place, this is why care in the home is so critical...

Talked to a health insurance exec at a brunch this AM. Asked him for some off the record thoughts on working with startups and what he really thought of pilots. He said “It’s so cute that they think we’re serious. We just do them so our staff doesn’t get bored.”

We straight up need more home healthcare solutions. It can’t be just outdated mom and pops, PE-backed rollups, Optum, Papa, Dispatch, and Signify. We need smart, yet humble people to prepare for the tidal wave of demand.

One of the best comments I heard today: we are in such a strange time in healthcare. We still send faxes but do surgeries using complete robotic functionality. It’s as if Fred Flintstone and George Jetson are trying to live together in the same house 🦖🤖
