/ THREAD ON LATEST NORTHERN TERRITORY (AUSTRALIA) COVID/AIRBORNE ILLNESS GUIDANCE - April 17 2024 This is from an email to all NT healthcare staff. How come they are so proactive and, e.g. Queensland, is not? ➡️ N95s in all clinical areas.
/ ➡️ HEPA air filters - STRONG emphasis ➡️ ALL inpatients get a four way PCR ➡️ All inpatients screened for respiratory symptoms every day ➡️ Close contacts get PCR
/ This is great. Well done, Northern Territory, but it is exceptional. Why, four years into an airborne pandemic, when we have learned so much about airborne transmission, not just of COVID, but other infections too, is it still exceptional? Why? I have not the faintest idea.
/ Either the Northern Territory is right or Queensland is right. Which is it? And why the postcode lottery on something so serious? If Northern Territory decides to be precautionary why is everyone else justified in not being so?
@YouAreLobbyLud This whole thread is astounding and perhaps a reason for hope that science will prevail? #CovidIsNotOver #CovidIsAirborne #WearAMask #LongCovid
