We should have an immigration system that doesn’t require migrants risking their lives to finally get a fair go. That being said it’s deeply unsettling to see this brave hero, Mohammad Taha not get same treatment as the brave bollard man. Only 1 conclusion can be reasonably drawn
@Kon__K @ThisiPhone1 According to the Guardian he has been offered citizenship on the same terms as the French person.
1. French guy got more attention due to a viral video. 2. Frenchman wasn't employed as a Security Guard - this guy was (and was, presumably, trained to deal with situations like this). 3. This guy was literally doing his job; Frenchman intervened of his own accord. Taha is obviously a hero. But stop pretending a distinction can't objectively be made between the two.
@Kon__K Why don't you surprise us all tomorrow with a non simpleton tweet?
@Kon__K That's why it's important not to pick 'winners' & 'losers' on a populist whim, like Albanese did, because it will then be seen as unfair to so many others. But our system is broken & the huge population increase over a very short time is so harmful too.
@Kon__K Albanese used Bondi attack for photo ops Or does he just not like brown people
