Wow, what a result. The Integrated Education Bill has passed after months of speculation, debate and engagement. Congratulations to @Kelmba who saw the bill through the process and a massive shout out to everyone who engaged with such passion and respect.
28 children walked through the door of Lagan College in 1981, set against a backdrop of political disagreement and social unrest. Their parents made a courageous decision to educate 14 Catholic and 14 Protestant children together. We will think of these 28 children today.
Lagan College Year 14 students wish to thank Corrymeela Peace Centre, Ballycastle, for hosting our Leadership Residential. Great time had by all reflecting on their skills and qualities. We also had time for fun and laughter on the beach. @corrymeela @IEFNI @niciebelfast
Michael Shainblum is a photographer and film-maker with dyslexia. Though school made him feel like a failure, he found success through photography. His inspirational career goes to show how dyslexia doesn't have to stop you from shooting for the stars.
