Just a side note. The @Conservatives @MelJStride bullying of disabled people, making them worry about their future will cost lives. When it does will there be the same level of outcry as their is over some boats? Will there bollocks! Why? Because disabled lives don't matter.
Noone gets £1000s on PIP. I have never met ANYONE whose disability costs are completely covered by PIP. Disability is expensive. PIP is not an out-of-work benefit. It is a disability-makes-life-expensive benefit to level things out just a bit.

he also can’t fathom the idea that people need benefits to buy things in the first place how are people meant to get receipts to claim back for stuff they can’t afford to buy in the first place because they have no benefits? this is why rich men shouldn’t be in charge of money
The thing about Rishi saying that benefits can be claimed back if you get receipts is he’s treating every day commodities like they’re expenses. Which they are to someone like him. He’s never had to worry about not having money in the first place or getting in debt.
Oh this is so true. Arrived at a resort expecting step free (that I’d booked & checked!) it wasn’t step free to room! It was 5* & next day I woke up to a RAMP that had been designed, built & finished by a team of 4 who’d MADE it while I was asleep. Didn’t even disturb my 😴 😱
@Fi79 @DontWantOurCash In my experience, paying more for services tends to mean they’re more accessible because of the privilege that brings. It’s no surprise an expensive hotel is better. I have never had a train access issue in First Class and, when I once had tea at the Savoy, access was great.

friendly reminder that they don’t just hand out PIP to anyone that fancies it!!! i am multiply disabled and have been too scared to ever apply for it because every single person i know that receives PIP has been subject to a lengthy and traumatic assessment process
