Our senior citizen patrons seem to be the least concerned about COVID and are mad that I am not adding more in-person programs and are mad that I'm still capping registration lower than usual. Honestly...

Also upset over a convo w/ lib director. Asked abt purchasing juvenile audio books and she responded: "I won't spend money on that. Kids should be reading books, not listening to them." Seriously WTF. #librarylife

Still shocked that our Story Time person chose "cinco de marcho" as a theme. In addition to sounding questionable (racist), it is a drinking "holiday" to "prep your liver" for St. Paddy's. I still don't think she understands why I made her change it.

Nobody complains when musicians play the same songs over and over or when basketball players run the same plays over and over, so why do we complain when children read the same books multiple times? ~Dav Pilkey at #ReadingSummit
