My library is going to host jury selection for my county starting in August. It’s being billed as a great service to the community. There will be 50+ people at a time. Sounds like a great idea. 😐 #librarytwitter #LibrarianProblems

Do you keep stats of customer interactions? We have to record every phone call, email and in-person encounter. Yesterday I had 102, which equates to one every 3 minutes. Mondays are a bitch. #librarytwitter #librarylife #librarianproblems

Today a very sweet gentleman came in needing LOTS of computer help. It was impossible to help standing 6 feet away for 5 only minutes. I explained our safety measures and he understood, but I feel awful that I couldn’t help. I was scared to stand close to him. Was I wrong?

My team answers phone calls for our entire system (in addition to our regular duties), about 200 calls a day. When I transfer to branches, they always sound annoyed. Can we at least pretend to like our jobs? #librarytwitter #librarianproblems #librarylife
