JUST IN: Major financial firms officially launch new crypto stablecoin, Open USD $OUSD
Backed by:
• Visa
• Stripe
• Shopify
• Coinbase
• Mastercard
OUSD is launching across Solana, Base, Ethereum, and Tempo with $1 billion in launch liquidity.
To keep the global debt machine alive, the shadow monetary base must expand liquidity by 10% to 12% annually, and with every central bank intervention accelerating this expansion, crypto and hard assets cannot remain cheap forever.
If you're wondering why $QNT price pumped 3x this week, this list is probably a good place to start ↓↓
• Quant was just chosen to build the next generation of US bank money. The Clearing House, owned by 25 major US banks like Chase, Bank of America, HSBC, and Citi settle more than $2 trillion per day and selected Quant to connect its new on-chain money network.
• Quant is now powering the largest banks in the UK. Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, Santander and others are now executing live customer transactions on infrastructure built by Quant.
• Quant is directly integrated into Murex’s MX.3 platform. MX.3 is the financial software engine powering 65 of the world's 100 largest banks, and Quant gives them crypto-ready infrastructure without requiring them to rewrite existing infrastructure.
• Oracle has put Quant inside its enterprise digital-asset stack. One of the world's largest enterprise software companies has certified Overledger to provide cross-ledger orchestration for settling transactions across different ledgers and off-chain databases.
• Quant is shaping the standards that will govern value movement across the internet. SATP is designed to let digital assets move safely between separate networks, and the protocol is now in the IETF's final community-review stage before a decision on publication.
• Quant has built technology for the Bank for International Settlements and the Bank of England. Project Rosalind tested 33 API functions and 30+ real-world use cases, with Quant supplying blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts and interoperability.
• The European Central Bank picked Quant to help experiment with the Digital Euro. Quant is testing how programmable payments could work directly with central-bank digital money, putting it inside one of Europe’s most important future payments projects.
• Quant has already integrated with Nexi’s European payments infrastructure. The underlying SIA network spans 580 nodes across 208,000+ km of fiber, connecting banks, payment providers, and financial institutions across Europe.
• Quant has been working on blockchain infrastructure spanning 12 countries across Latin America. The LACChain network gives Quant exposure to cross-border payments, tokenized money and interoperability across multiple national markets.
• Quant has a direct route into Japan’s banking system through Dentsu Soken. Dentsu Soken builds mission-critical systems tied to BOJNET, SWIFT, CLS, internet banking, and core banking, and the partnership includes a joint go-to-market plan for Japanese banks.
• Quant has been granted multiple patents across the US, Europe, Japan, and China. This gives Quant a defensible IP position in one of the hardest problems in digital finance — enterprise-grade multi-ledger technology.
• Quant’s founder helped launch the ISO standard for blockchain and distributed ledger technology. Gilbert Verdian was instrumental in establishing ISO/TC 307, the international committee for blockchain and distributed ledger standards, going on to lead its interoperability working group.
• Quant isn't betting the company on just one product. Overledger, Quant Flow, PayScript, QuantNet, and Fusion give it multiple products around interoperability, programmable money, payments, and multi-network settlement.
• Gilbert was working on this problem before most people had even heard the word “interoperability.” Before Quant, he spent 20+ years in cybersecurity and senior technology roles across the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, HM Treasury, Mastercard, PricewaterhouseCoopers, HSBC, Ernst & Young, and other major institutions.
• $QNT is unusually scarce for an asset servicing a global market. Its maximum supply is just 14.88 million tokens, giving it one of the tightest supply profiles in large-cap crypto. As we've seen this week, when demand spikes, upward moves can be violent.
• Staking could create an even more powerful supply-and-demand loop. Likely arriving in 2027, Quant's staking mechanism could see millions of $QNT tokens locked away, while participants earn rewards and growing network usage competes for the same fixed supply.
• All of this is only what we're allowed to see. Quant is built to operate behind the scenes as white-label infrastructure; we actually have no idea how many more integrations are already live, being tested, or sitting in the pipeline waiting to be announced.
So when people ask me why $QNT suddenly ran this hard this week, I think they're asking the wrong question.
The better question is why the market ignored all of this evidence for so long.
Quant’s main net was only finished a few months ago and staking has yet to be activated (probably within a few months).

ive officially paid off my entire initial investment in grok ($10k) because of the tech behind stonkfun
and i think that’s what has me so excited about all of this
in the past, we held coins almost purely because we believed in the meme, the community, the culture
there was basically no incentive to hold besides conviction
and somehow, those coins still ran to billions
now imagine that same memetic energy, but with actual experiments built around the ticker
sure, buy + sell taxes reflecting back to holders is cool
but transfers can create activity too
what happens when you start tying other experiments, products, games, rewards, social mechanics, or entirely new ideas to the ticker itself?
i genuinely don’t think we’ve even scratched the surface of what can be done yet
going to marinate on it this weekend and think about some fun experiments
the game we love is evolving
GPT Astra: Coming Next Week (Thursday)
- GPT-Astra generated this 3D spaceship and it looks insanely good. This time, OpenAI might have actually cooked.
- The biggest issue with previous GPT models, frontend generation and finally they fixed.
- Astra could potentially outperform Fable 5.1 while being cheaper
- OpenAI has made Astra available to partners for feedback. If testing goes well, we could get Astra next Thursday.
The FTC is warning companies about using AI and personal data to charge different people different prices, known as “personalized pricing” or “surveillance pricing.”
Companies can use location, browsing history, shopping habits and other personal data to estimate how much you might be willing to pay.
FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson said:
“When consumers see a listed price, they expect it to be the same price that everyone else sees, not the retailer’s estimate of how much they are willing to pay based on their personal data.”
The FTC wants companies to be more transparent about using personal information to set prices.
First it was 2027, then October 2026, now "it has to be done in the next 10 days."
What's the rush Dario?
Given the phone call not to show up to work on Tuesday? 😏
Grok is about to get a massive engineering upgrade
Elon Musk just revealed that SpaceXAI will add SpaceX’s massive corpus of world-class engineering data (excluding ITAR-restricted material) to the supplemental training of its 2T run
This is data from the company that built giant Starship, pushed rocketry to the absolute limits of physics and caught a Super Heavy booster out of the sky in mid-air
SpaceX has spent more than two decades solving the hardest real-world problems in propulsion, manufacturing, materials, software and aerospace systems and is decades ahead of many space programs
Now that engineering knowledge will also help train Grok
You can expect much stronger engineering, manufacturing, aerospace and physical-world reasoning from the next model
This could turn Grok into one of the most capable engineering AIs ever built, making it far more useful for real‑world use cases and hands‑on engineering tasks
SpaceX’s massive corpus of world-class engineering data (excluding material blocked by ITAR) will be added during supplemental training of the 2T run.
This will dramatically improve Grok’s engineering capabilities.
Feels like Anthropic is talking
> Who constantly pushes to ban open source models? Dario
> Who screams that open source AI is “very dangerous”? Dario
> Who wants to lock enterprise users into paying them forever? Anthropic
> Who treats their own customers like absolute garbage? Anthropic
> Who has been lobbying governments nonstop to regulate competitors out of existence? Dario
> Who is terrified of open source models? Dario
> What’s the single biggest threat to Anthropic’s entire business model? Open source
> Who acts like only they should be allowed to build frontier AI? Anthropic
> Who insults users for refusing to pay their overpriced premium? Anthropic
> Who is the greatest threat to their monopoly?
Open source models
Now that open‑source models have caught up and are banking the same users Anthropic drained for years with overpriced subs and garbage treatment, their PR is a disaster and user trust is gone
Open source is the real threat to them, and they know it
SITUATION BREWING: The Trump administration is considering restricting cutting-edge Chinese AI models, with momentum reviving after the launch of Kimi K3, per Axios.
Grok 4.20 was "just" 0,5T, Grok 5 will get 6T & 10T parameters and is still training at the Supercomputer COLOSSUS 2, the largest and most powerful AI Supercluster in the world. The release is expected by the end of this year.
Opus 5 Leaks: Coming Next Week
- Claude Opus 5 is in the final stages of launch preparations, with next week currently the target.
- Opus 5 is to bring capabilities much closer to Fable 5, while being significantly cheaper to serve.
- Anthropic is not planning to extend Fable 5 in subscriptions beyond July 19.
- A new successor to Fable 5 is reportedly planned for August, aiming to compete with GPT-6.
@FormlessEntity@elonmusk@sama "If" he did in fact put a hit on the whistleblower, this would discourage others from speaking out, because idk, they might face the same actions...
No easy "move on" here...
The upcoming wave of SpaceXAI Grok updates is insane
Grok 4.5:
The 1.5T foundation model is being refined almost daily, and its context window is expected to jump to 1M tokens, possibly as soon as next week
Next model:
The 2T foundation model is expected to finish training this month and become available to customers next month
Grok Build:
The harness is getting refinements almost every day based on user feedback. New features, fixes, and workflow improvements are landing at ridiculous speed
Inference:
SpaceXAI is working on internally developed C/C++ inference mapped directly to GB300 hardware, which could double speed or more
Agentic Imagine:
Grok will be able to call Imagine as a tool in agentic mode for image and video generation
That is going to be huge for game developers, designers, builders, and anyone creating interactive worlds
But the biggest thing is this:
Grok is being built for real-world engineering
Grok 4.5 early beta access was given to Tesla and SpaceX engineers, with feedback coming from real engineering teams solving real-world problems
Next month’s release is expected to be another massive step-change improvement as SpaceXAI closes the loop on real-world engineering problems at Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and Boring Company
And from now through the end of 2026, Elon said a new from-scratch foundation model is expected to ship every month
