Eagles roster has been absolutely thrashed so far this offseason
@LombardiHimself Last year Denver was 1st and Seattle last and we know how that worked out....
@LombardiHimself I’m sure PHI is singing a similar tune as SF. “You can’t re-sign every B level free agent. We’re gonna lean on our track record in the draft.” The situations aren’t that different. They lost more impact guys but they have 2 1st round picks and we have none till the late 3rd.
@LombardiHimself Cowboys with + Gillmore & Cooks is the NFC measuring stick for 49ers
@LombardiHimself The Eagles lost their top 5 leading tacklers from last season, so it’ll be interesting to see how that side of the ball looks in 2023
@LombardiHimself I think they have replacements for those guys. And have 2023 draft to full depth.
@LombardiHimself But if you think they won't be one of the best in the NFC again next year, just a foolish take to have. That offense and the playmakers on D still there are going to be great.
@LombardiHimself Tempering the Eagles losses is an above average amount of draft capital for a SB team (same for KC, FWIW). Things will improve for the Eagles post-draft, but it's still likely to a fairly large net-loss of talent.
@LombardiHimself Wonder where the jets go (and pack) if and when Rodgers gets dealt
