My dear friends, it is with great pleasure that Harvey, Rascal, and myself (with the ever present support of @SummRidge , of course) bring you our first BIG COZY CONTEST! My most beloved season is Autumn, then Winter, Spring, & Summer. In that order. SO, when Ken suggested to our venerable X wholesome poster, @OldHollowTree , that he sweeten up one of our giveaways, and the good man buzzed at the opportunity, deciding to offer up a Humming Meadow mug, I got excited and decided to try and rope in a bunch of wholesome Americana to help us get through this last bit of summer heat and look towards autumn. With great generosity of spirit we, all of us, considered breaking the prizes up and, perhaps, next time, we will. However, they all compliment each other so very well that I simply cannot do it. There is so much that could be said about this week's giveaway. I will simply hit the main points: A man, Jordan Salinas, who seems to dig Splinter Cell went from live action role play to live action and likely saved many lives in Twin Falls, Idaho at the @innoutburger in doing so. We celebrate that in today's litigious culture this man chose to risk his life and his liberty by doing the righteous thing. He held to his convictions by going armed and by running towards the direction of gunfire, of imminent danger. Reports are that he rendered medical aid after the gunfire ceased, as well. In honor of this man and that masculine sacrificial heroic American spirit that runs, not away from conflict, but that fights for the opportunity to get between evil and goodness, and effectively, Rascal is proud to do a little LARPing himself. Sorry friends, crazy couple of days. @TheRascallion apparently was called into some super secret meeting about how/if/when aliens become a problem! Question presented was about firepower and what we should have on hand. Word is many suggestions were bandied about but everyone gave a unanimous "Heck yeah dad gummit!" when Rascal suggested a Benelli M4 12ga must be part of the arsenal. Rascal would neither confirm nor deny that @timburchett was there but I gotta feeling... Rascal has been on the trail as of late. He radioed in just now that he recently broke the tree line only to find that infamous nature photographer and debonair man of adventure @actionxander ! Rascal gave a few pointers and wished him good luck finding those last three elusive Floridian quarry! I am sure we can expect to see those three captured in frame before the adventure ends. We would love to see your favorite @actionxander photos pasted in the comments or used in your QUOTE POSTS, he does amazing work and is exuding that adventurous American spirit we need to resurrect and maintain so badly. Rascal did say he has made great use in the field with his Ruger American Gen2 Scout rifle! Thus it has been chosen for this weeks win! We are ever grateful for @SummRidge continued support! Rascal got to talking, as he is want to do, around the fire the other night and he stumbled himself upon a story I had not heard him tell before. Evidently Rascal was there with Major Eric Bonde in the Congo when that iconic picture was taken in 1961. No one really knows just how old this raccoon is; one of the mysteries of the universe, it would seem. Speaking of mysteries, Rascal then tells me he carried a CZ75 that day. I told him that is not possible. The CZ75 was not even released until 1975. He just chuckled at me like I was some inexperienced pup 🤷🏽‍♂️... Wow. A bit of doozie today y'all. Rascal was taking forever. I began to get impatient so I demanded he phone in. Evidently he is preparing for some crossover urban to field work and decided that the giveaway needed to be fitting!
