@pgipe @MehtaScribe And who is dying from gabapentin misuse (effectively no one)? Is being on chronic opioids less dangerous than being on gabapentin with occasionsl misuse (no)? What is the street value (nil)? Then who cares?!

@RyanMalphrus Reducing the stigma is a similarly problematic catchphrase. Stigma actually serves a pretty beneficial purpose for certain behaviors which we now call symptoms.

@DoctorPerin Yeah. In the sense that podcasts do for younger folks and tv shows for the old ones.

@RylandMtotheFM Often this is cope to avoid change. People who have actually overcame substance addiction aren't typically shit talking AA/NA/MAT/etcetera, they're happy it works for the people it does. This sounds like "I'm not ready to change so let me find fault with them instead of me."

@CyborgPeds It will be later than the following Monday, because if the radiologists aren't doing extra reads after hours and on weekends, the backlog will expand way out.

@ompsychiatrist McFillin is an overcorrection to the mental health industrial complex, but SSRIs (and heavier agents) are commonly prescribed for "painful situations." Often due to patient expectations/demands, limited time from providers (PCP's too) to clarify, lack of therapy availability...

@BowTiedBroke @ailistenerguy I think its all going to go slower than you think. Semi drivers were going to disappear from self driving like 15 years ago. They're still truckin.

@ZKForTre Heartfelt thank yous for the life changing rotation and pro-social schmoozing will continue to do all the heavy lifting. For the people who employ food as a "strategy" its <5% of the scheme, for the people who naturally do this stuff it's <1% of their overall good character.

@lotussenrl Charge for the coaching, the gospel comes with it. You're trying to use the rules of a religion you probably don't even believe, to reduce that religions footprint. It's quite subversive.

@lotussenrl Hes charging less than most charge for coaching without Bible studies. Its just a way to spread the word while doing his coaching. No different than a Christian private school or Christian therapist etc etc.
