Do you make any assumptions when you see someone calling themselves “full stack engineer”? Like lack of depth in either? Is it possible to be a good full stack engineer at staff level?

I didn’t want to believe and laughed at the prediction but it turns out that I was wrong. Six months ago Dario Amodei said “I think we will be there in three to six months, where AI is writing 90% of the code”. In past few months some of my PRs were 90%+ written with AI tools.

GPT5 makes up past Garfield strips and when I point out that it is incorrect it tries to gaslight me into thinking that what I shared is a "fan-made Garfield parody, not the official 7/24/1983 strip". LLMs still can't say "I don't know" or "I don't remember"

I love Cursor but... Claude Code is so impressive and so far completely dominating. The agent experience is first class rather than squished into a small sidebar. IMO Cursor should follow that - the chat is the prime real estate. I cancelled my Cursor subscription - for now.
