Absolutely agree long-term funding solution is required for social care. However, the term ‘bed-blocking’ has such negative connotations, & suggests the problem is patients blocking beds. Patients are stranded in beds because the system fails them, they don’t block their use.

#endPJparalysis focuses on hospitals. We need to also target the community & care homes. The big problem is sitting too much,a lot of people only get up & mobilise a few times a day to the toilet = deconditioning = falls = admission. 💡Idea: campaign to #standagainstsitting ? 🕺
