120 hours Monday - Friday 4.5 hours is average time spent training with team. I e need to maximize those seconds by making it relevant to the game. We also need to realize how the kids spend the other 115.5 hours is going to say a lot more about their development.
This is not new. We also have to stop acting like putting a kid like this on a 2nd team is a bad thing. It might be best spot for them currently. In 3 years they could be the best player in the world. Stop worrying about current level
You know that kid on a 14u team that’s one of the top 4-5 players, but definitely not the best because he’s smaller than everyone else and not shaving yet? Yeah, that guy will end up being the best HS player of the group 90% of the time. I’ve seen it over and over again.
