Building out of the back means exploiting space, wherever it is on the field. Creating space on the field will depend first on your teams structure. Then by their constant reorganization. It does not mean only short passes, only long passes, or only dribbling. It’s all of it

Bjj and youth soccer have a lot of intersects. BJJ would do well to avoid some of these slippery slopes. Starting with seminar content. Most is trash but looks cool and costs money so people think it must be good

@Sockercoach This is multifaceted, sometimes it’s the game IQ that’s not ready for that next level yet, sometimes it’s the technical quality that’s not yet ready. As long as the coach can see the limitation and work with the player on closing the gap, that’s what matters
@Sockercoach The second team might be the best place for them, where they’ll get lots of touches on the ball to further develop their technical ability and soccer IQ, in time they’ll catch up physically and be ready for the next level

Accountability is crucial. Not just for your career and goals. But for your life in general. If you say you’re going to do something… Then DO IT. The feeling of NOT doing it at all is way worse than the discomfort of forcing yourself. Accountability wins, always.
