I'm in Georgia this morning. Gas prices are $3.65 per gallon on average, per AAA. In Illinois, a gallon today costs $4.89. Nearly $1.25 per gallon more expensive for Illinoisans. One big reason? Gasoline taxes. While @GovPritzker has been hiking gas taxes since 2019, now the 2nd- or 3rd-highest in the country, Georgia has kept them low. And Gov. Kemp has even suspended the 33 cent motor fuel tax for now. Policies matter. Illinoisans need relief. Via @Fight4Illinois #twill

Tim and I were invited to speak at Greater Little Rock Church in Humbolt Park, Chicago. Thank you Marshall and Pastor Davenport! We loved joining the congregation in praising Jesus. No polite handshakes to greet one another at Mass. Here, it was big hugs, and I loved it! I was also lucky enough to join in celebrating with the October birthdays. Thank you for welcoming us with such open hearts. We are proud to be running to represent all of Cook County and grateful for the opportunity to meet, listen to, and worship alongside our neighbors. With midterm elections looming, voters are rightly concentrating on Cook County judges and Board of Ed. Races. Elections for Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago are critically important and should not be overlooked. Remember to cast your ballots for Michelle Pennington, Tim Rueckert, and Jill Shestokas for MWRD commissioners.

MWRD steals money and displaces homeowners all year long… especially in the south suburbs! The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) helps manage Cook County’s wastewater and flooding while spending hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars annually. It’s time to switch some people out so we can see what the books look like and get to the bottom of what I believe is the retention pond scam! 🗳️ 2026 MWRD REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES: 🇺🇸 Michelle Pennington (R) 🇺🇸 Timothy E. Rueckert (R) 🇺🇸 Jill B. Shestokas (R) 📅 Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026!

@ChicagoBACP Another added cost for Chicago residents. Taxi drivers need to cover their fuel bills, but passengers are feeling the squeeze too. What are city and state leaders doing to reduce the costs driving these surcharges?

The Water Rec budget, funded by property taxes, needs focus. If it's not about cleaning water or preventing flooding, it shouldn't be in the budget. Stormwater management isn't working, and voters need to change commissioners to fix it. #WaterQuality #Budget #VoteRed

This block boarded up thanks partly to me. After our press release on Sept 1st highlighting drugs, crime, and vandalism, MWRD finally boarded up buildings, offering residents protection. Accountability is needed for MWRD and Cook County. #CommunityAction #Accountability

Cook County Republican Michelle Pennington is running again, pushed to the edge by tax hikes and 'affordable housing' mandates. #CookCounty #LocalPolitics #Taxation

Running for the Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago means more than just managing stormwater and wastewater. It means accountability to taxpayers, not political patrons. Don't let appointed officials decide your district's future. #WaterReclamation #CivicDuty @shestokas

Cook County's actions in Harvey have displaced long-time residents and investors, taking away livelihoods and destroying multi-unit investment properties without fair compensation. Where do these community members go from here? #CommunityImpact #LocalGovernment #Housing
