Invisible Nation, an excellent new documentary about Taiwan by @VHopeful featuring stunning visuals, fascinating archive footage and, yes, unprecedented access to Tsai Ing-wen, will have its West Coast premiere at the Mill Valley Film Festival in October. awardswatch.com/46th-mill-vall…

@TedHope Seems like there’s only one way to solve this. A union run production / streamer company where all members are owners. And cut out the corporations from making good content. Audience will automatically follow.

Nothing sounds better then a properly pressed vinyl record. Especially if you have a nicely balanced sound system to go with it.

@TedHope @kentmatsuoka Filmmaking needs to go back to its roots. Like they’re doing in Ghana. Made respect for what they’re doing there. Just making movies for movies and local entertainment.

Is it just me or do most of the new movies coming out on all the major platforms look like they’re web series. Nothing cinematic just people reading lines with expected emotional representations.
