@ValeriaBrownEdu I teach in what is typically seen as an affluent high school, although I notice in our student population a range of financial situations. But we have an extensive security team led by a SRO. There have been threats to safety in the last few years so I'm very thankful for them!

Back to my youth ministry rant. I see this over and over, you scroll the church’s website and you see all the pastors in their nice church suits then you scroll to the bottom and you get to 35 year old Rad Brad with a giant hoodie sweatsuit on as the youth minister. /

@_acrobertson If we're able to help we'd love to! Finding a babysitter is the worst

@octopode4 I recently had the same realization! I havent stepped on one in 2 months and its been so freeing! Focusing on goals like how I feel, strength, and healthy routines is so much better!

My daughter finds Tom Segura's voice very soothing. How do I know this? We watch him when she wakes through the night and she falls asleep so quickly after eating with a smile on her face. I'm convinced this means I'm raising her right

@Matt_Bernico @johnbrittingham Still bitter I had to take the edu 401 instead of your class. I would have loved this

Christ is not American. The Church that Christ heads is global. Our neighbors are all of humanity. The U.S. National Anthem is not a song unto the Lord. The U.S. flag is not the banner for the Kingdom of God.

@octopode4 Yes this! My compulsions are mostly related to list making, efficiency, and productivity but that also means I'm not always neat or organized and people don't understand that has nothing to do with my diagnosis!

If I just quit my job now I don't have to make 6-8 weeks worth of sub plans or write the rest of these IEP's.... its tempting folks 🤔

@_acrobertson Girl I feel this! All I want is a chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese. But like a real sketchy one from a gas station 😅

I get the strangest looks when I bring up how seriously our jr. High took the Iditarod. We spent months studying dog sledding in our reading class so we can make sleds pulled by humans and race each other in the park, being chased by the janitor dressed as a moose.

@KatieJayneEarl Its a small thing but a weighted eye mask has really helped me cope. It gives the pressure you need for some pain relief and its very soothing. It isn't a cure but its a tiny bit of relief in an otherwise horrendous situation.
