Every day Early Reading Coaches share stories and work with educators to center joy in reading and work to mitigate disproportionate outcomes. Today, we went to the board meeting to share our story. Thank you to all the trustees who listened and thanked us for the work we do!

Grade 1/2 students at Broadacres read the book “This is How I Know” by Brittany Luby. They talked about Indigenous languages and ways of knowing about seasons. They worked together to create paintings showing how they know seasons are changing! @ChrisLanis @LC1_TDSB @UIEC_Tdsb

The #ScienceOfReading is not something you can go out &purchase. It does not come in a neat little box in the mail. It cannot be learned overnight by reading 1 book. It is a passionate journey that you embark on, sometimes alone or sometimes, if you’re lucky, with a friend.🧵
