This week, we are taking part in an #IMF-supported workshop on strengthening #accountability mechanisms utilized by Supreme Audit Institutions. NAO presents on the topics 'Sanctioning #powers in theory & Practice'; and 'Establishing a #Forensic audit unit within a SAI'.
Today, with the support of our partner @INTOSAI_IDI we kicked off the first quarter M&E review of our 2024 #Operational #Plan, to assess the level of implementation of the audits and other non-audit activities. This exercise allows teams to track activities & highlight challenges

The development of the module act started in 2023 and will be finalized this year, this model Audit Act will be also used as a tool to raise awareness for the importance of #SAIs independence across national, regional and continental actors.

IDI staff and representatives from the SAI community are gathering together this week to finalise a practical guide for SAIs on crafting strategic audit plans. Stay tuned for the results of our collaboration at the IDI's Planning for Audit Impact Playbook meeting.
20 SAI participants from 10 countries attended our highly engaging ICBF workshop this week. For many, this was a first introduction to the tool, which assesses SAI and regional capacity and maturity annually.
