Macabre plots against El-Rufai must stop. Indications of a despicable plot to frame Mallam Nasir El- Rufai are appearing. An 18 April 2026 report in The Nation newspaper says that Mohammed Umar Karage, described as a witness in the criminal matter brought against Mallam Nasir El-Rufai at the Kaduna State High Court, has filed a report with the police of an armed invasion of his residence by unknown persons. The Nation report further said that “Karage linked the incident to his role in the corruption charges against El-Rufai, particularly one of the nine counts bordering on unlawful revocation and reallocation of land allegedly belonging to him. “He alleged that the invasion might be part of a plot to silence him, drawing parallels with the case of Abubakar Idris Dadiyata, a Kaduna-based activist who was declared missing under controversial circumstances.” The insinuations in the report are a clear indication of an unfolding plot to frame Mallam Nasir El-Rufai in criminal matters. Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is a law abiding person. He has no connection whatsoever with the incidents mentioned in The Nation’s report. He rejects the malicious intent behind it and has instructed his lawyers to pursue action for defamation in relation to the publication . Having reported voluntarily in response to an invitation, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has been detained since 16 February 2026. He has pursued legal avenues to secure bail. He is in the process of fulfilling the of the bail granted him on 14 April by the Federal High Court, Kaduna. The Kaduna State High Court is scheduled to rule on his bail application on 21 April. The report in The Nation appears calculated to threaten the granting of bail by the State High Court, and further prolong his time spent in custody by Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. Worse still, the publication may have been programmed into the public space to provide the grounds for framing Mallam Nasir El-Rufai up on capital charges for which the option of bail is not available. These macabre games need to stop. The callow disregard for the liberty and reputation of an outstanding citizen is most callous and unjust. Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has already been arraigned in two different courts. He is scheduled to be arraigned before a third court on 22 April 2026 on charges filed by the DSS in February 2026. The machinations against his liberty have gone on for too long.

This is 5 million megawatts of power generation to be connected to people's stomachs. 😂😹😆
