We are trapped between a "soft landing" narrative and a "sticky inflation" reality. The market isn't pricing rate hikes. It's pricing trust in the Fed's ability to read the room. I'm watching the reaction, not the print. What's your hedge heading into next week—cuts or chaos?
The true test isn't the buyback. It isn't even today's jobs print. The true test is order flow around the data. If jobs beat, quants pile back into the dollar and dump TLT before you can blink. If jobs miss, we rally into September 11th CPI—only to get crushed if core ticks up.

Tomorrow isn't about $12.5B. It's about whether the Treasury can change the narrative before Friday's jobs report. Watch the 10-year. It's trading at 4.77%, down from 4.8%—a 19-month high.
Tomorrow at 1:40 PM ET, the Treasury buys back $12.5B of its own debt. Two possible outcomes: Yields drop → buyback works, market gets relief. Yields keep rising → $12.5B is a drop in the bucket against the supply coming into the market.
