Thank the Lord I wasn't working last night. Just had the debrief from A, late off shift of course, that it was hellish. I have prescribed gin.

Home after the last night shift. Someone has wisely decided to vacate the bed prior to my arrival. And so has the dog. Aww sweet sweet bed. And A has brought me a cup of tea. I'll forgive him eating my dinner. Probably.

Happily young Constable Rain was out and about earlier and has made it much easier to get some shoe prints around the windows of the burgled house. And better yet. We recognise them. Off to say hello to a frequent flyer.

Third night underway and third time I've had to go back up a unit at the same address. For the same people. For the same reason. Because every single day, social services have failed to do anything to help these people. Because they have fewer people than we do.

It's been a long week. Finished this morning. Collapsed into bed and only just woken up. Now to fight off the dreadful duvet monster and take the dogs for a walk. Or rather another walk. Nice for some.
