@DTE_Energy, can you explain why the majority of restoration ETA’s were set after the holiday weekend from the onset? Could it be that the shareholders once again came first and this was an attempt to reduce OT/holiday pay for the willing/able/experienced/dedicated line staff?

@wxyzdetroit Power came back in Grosse Pointe Woods for…54 minutes…went out again. According to the out of state lineman I talked to, “DTE has made a mess of this response and this wire. They’re guys have to look at it, probably tomorrow”. We’re now at 74 hours without power.

Hey @DTE_Energy, after 72 1/2 hours WITHOUT power, my power was restored for…54 minutes. To quote the lineman from Indiana, “DTE has this such a mess. They’re guys are going to have to come look at it. It’ll probably be tomorrow.” WHAT IN THE FUCK?!? WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK?!?

I want folks to realize the impact of the DTE power outage and their neglect in strengthening our power grid. - A 16 year old boy died of carbon monoxide poisoning due to a generator running at his home - Marathon Oil Refinery flaring gas into the air due to the outage, emitting fumes and toxins into the air - Hundreds of thousands of residents throwing away groceries that spoiled due to high temps and no refrigeration - Hourly employees losing wages because their workplace had no power - Seniors losing medication that required refrigeration When people ask me why I go so hard against DTE’s greed and neglect, this is why. No more rate hikes. Freeze DTE.

While you’re in the dark tonight, don’t forget that DTE just raised your rates for shitty service. And they’re trying to do it again. Why do they get away with it? Because they’ve cut checks to 93% of the state legislature…and 100% of the other candidates for US Senate.
