@MOTHIDUK With apologies for the usual photo quality, is it possible to assign species to this Monopis? M. obviella or M. crocicapitella? Thank for your guidance.

@MOTHIDUK Hello Sean, help please. Can't decide between this moth last night. Chestnut or Dark Chestnut? First snap with flash, second with torch light. Thanks for your guidance.

@MOTHIDUK ObsId insists micro is Scrobipalpa occellatella. Seems very unlikely in Northants. Do you have an opinion please (despite the crap photos).

@ivysuckle More than interesting as earlier, 10 June, there was a pair of Six-spot Burnets mating within a metre of this. I’ll try and get back there. Thanks for the reply.

@ivysuckle Have you met these before? Presumably pupal cases but empty at least some. On Knapweed and about double size. Phil

@MOTHIDUK Hello Sean. ObsId is suggesting a bit of a rarity but this looks like a Cochylis sp to me. But can’t work out which. Your help would be appreciated.
