Mail day brought this 1940 Play Ball of 130 game winning and submarine pitcher Elden Auker. He spent his last three seasons with the Browns and retired in 1943 so he could help with the war effort. #stlbrowns

Added the last 2015 Topps Sparkle Cardinal variation. I swore off these in 2015, but then decided to circle back, and it took years to find them. A silly endeavor? Perhaps. Can you locate the small sparkle on his left shoulder? This is probably the hardest one to discern.

In 1988, I was robbed of the gold medal in what became one of the biggest controversies in boxing history. By the grace of God, a couple of years ago, the man who won that medal made the trip from South Korea to my home to return it to me, feeling it was rightfully mine.

Did you know Ozzie has the below 1990 Starting Lineup cards that show different games played? One was printed with stats after 77 games while the other was printed at the end of the season. TCDB is great! And infuriating! Recently added the 77 games version. #ozziesmithcards

Attended the St. Louis Browns Fan Club Luncheon yesterday. The keynote speaker was Tom Stevens, Babe Ruth’s grandson. The Dewitts were also on hand, with Bill Jr. discussing the time in 1948 when he met Babe, as pictured here. Dan McLauglin signed the 06 WS ball upside down!
