The problem is that tech has hollowed out the market for junior-level wizardry. Sure, there are plenty of jobs if you can cast "Greater Bubble of Time Reversal" or "Class VII Teleport." But how do you ever reach that level if nobody will hire you to cast "Lesser Bolt of Panic"?
