Got the beanbags: students now needed to sit and tell tales. Storytelling Club is every Tuesday A and open to all in Y7 and 8 who love to hear and/or to tell stories. Last week we explored cyber bullying through stories. Come along and decide where our tales will take us next….

We’re encouraging our students to remember those who sacrificed their lives to defend freedom and all those affected by war by reading their stories, including the stories of those whose voices haven’t always been heard.

We like the idea of our Library being (in Paula Poundstone's words) a 'raucous clubhouse for free speech, controversy and community' so we're very happy to be supporting Prior's Equality and Diversity Group as they show support for the LGBTQ+ community with today's Mufti Day.

A hushed Library full of students revising. I'm thinking of Hughes' 'Thought Fox' when 'with a sudden sharp hot stink of fox/It enters the hole in the head'. Here's hoping that, in school libraries everywhere, dark holes in the head are being made brilliant.
